Selecting the proper care for your child is a very important decision. To help guide you in the decision making process, the California State Department of Social Services suggests looking for day care centers that provide some of the information listed below.
The goal is to work with parents and their children to create a learning environment that the child will be content, safe, and healthy.
I am a state licensed provider, serving the Santa Clarita Valley since 1991 under the State of California. As required by the State of California, I am certified in First Aid and Infant/Child/Adult CPR and have taken our 15 hours of training in Child Care. In addition to state requirements Kathy has 43 units in Early Childhood Education.
We have annual fire department inspections and unannounced visits from the state licensing board.
We are licensed for 8 children and care for children ages newborn to 12 Years. We are in the Saugus area, near Santa Clarita Elementary School. We are located with a direct route to the Rye Canyon Industrial center.
Our children enjoy their time with each other in a family environment.

Numbers, alphabets, phonics, shapes, colors
Circle time consisting of following instructions, learning to share (being able to play with one toy and pass along to your friend), getting to know things about each other (favorite color, favorite ice cream flavor, color of eyes, names of siblings etc.) and singing songs. These activities are designed to promote the whole child.
Included are running, jumping, hopping, skipping, bicycling, ball playing, and Music and movement.
Puzzles, blocks, play dough, age appropriate toys, painting, crayons, markers, and playing in the sandbox. These activities will allow your child to expand their eye hand coordination.
Our home center has received awards from the County of Los Angeles and the City of Santa Clarita.
Kathy is currently a member of the Family Day Care Association of the Santa Clarita Valley, and has served as President and has been on the Board. As a member of the Family Day Care Association of the Santa Clarita Valley, we are kept apprised of current childcare issues, legislation and events and on going education.
